With winter still having some bite, we look forward to the change of season shortly - but what a winter for sporting success, from the Taniwhas to our U15 Rugby and Bernie Hall’s World Record master’s deadlift which you can read more about in this Month’s bugle.
Lots of other changes big and small, with opportunities to help (such as the Mangawhai Library), to get fit (a new gym in Maungaturoto), or join a social activity like Scottish Dancing or a new choir.
While it’s receded a little in the news, H5N1 bird flu is continuing to spread in Australia including crossing to mammals, so we still need to be alert. If you come across any sick birds don’t touch them, contact your vet or MPI (0800 80 99 66) or online at report.mpi.govt.nz so it does not take hold here.
